„The question is not who will let me, but who will stop me. “ Ayn Rand
Very often we don’t give ourselves permission to be, feel or think anything we deem inappropriate. So we become our fiercest censor and critic. All the impulses of our bodies, heart and mind that come to us spontaneously and naturally and that want to express our essence and aliveness are often neglected and pushed aside by the fear of (imaginary) consequences, of other people or of ourselves. Same as we once learned to walk, in the dance we remember how to give ourselves permission to welcome everything that comes up. We practice peeling the layers – to notice, allow, express, experience, live out the urges which come flooding from under the skin, from the creases of the heart and mind, everything that wants to be released from the depths of our being onto the surface. The feeling of music that pulses through our physical and etheric tissues always stirs a whole sea of impulses. We let the body journey across the 5Rhyhtms landscape, across meetings with others and ourselves and allow it to move as it wants to move with what’s happening. Allow yourself to make that first move. The rest will follow. If you don’t, who will? The deeper we relax into the dance, the stronger the Force is with us.:)
Bio Zdenka Sajko

After endeavours in singing and acting, my feet found themselves in 5Rhythms dance at the turn of the millennium. Since then I have flowed, stumbled and frolicked on many dance floors around the world. With Gabrielle Roth’s blessing I have been facilitating and inspiring others to find their own unique movement and expression through dance since 2005. Currently, I am living in Zagreb, Croatia, with my teenage daughter.
Deep down we all long for the same thing – to be seen in our essence and to connect with others from that gentle and vibrant inner space. My greatest inspiration in teaching is that we all, empowered, refreshed and resourced by dance and body movement, find our way through the shadows of our own psyche and come out on the other end feeling more alive every time we dance. Authenticity, freedom and joy are just waiting to happen when we give them enough empty space. There is nothing to fix, just to remember who we are at our creative core and let the mystery of life take over.
